Hello everyone! It’s Claudia here and today I’m sharing another layout I created using the gorgeous February kits. A lot of my recent layouts have been with a white (cardstock) background, so for this one I thought it would be about time to use a patterned paper for my background again. In my opinion there are a lot of papers (if not all) in the kit that will work really well as a background, but for this particular layout I chose this lovely paper from the Simple Stories #Whatever collection. I just love the circles and the colors that are in the paper.
I knew I wanted to go with the type of design where I would decorate all of the circles, so the first thing I had to do was figure out where I wanted my photo to go. As always I played around with my layering first before deciding on the final placement of my photo.
I thought that maybe the layout would get a little bit too busy if I put an element on every single circle, so to still make it look as if there was something on them, I pulled out my 1″ circle punch and a piece of vellum and punched out a few circles to put on those circles.
I used a few elements from the Pink Paislee Moonstruck washi stickers that came in the ‘Tell It’ add on kit this month. I first stuck them on a piece of (scrap) white cardstock so that they wouldn’t be transparent anymore.
The thickers from the Hazelwood collection and the wood buttons from the Little By Little collection that both came in the main kit were perfect to fill in some of these circles that are on my background paper. I also added some puffy stickers from the ‘Tell It’ add on and some of the Dear Lizzy Lovely Day thickers that came in that same add on to spell out my cat’s name.
There’s also a process video you can watch to see how this layout came together;
Thank you so much for joining me today, I hope you enjoyed seeing this layout and that you feel inspired to start creating. Have a great day!
